Lonesome Pine Resort – Bobcaygeon
Maintenance Worker/ Grounds Keeper
Reporting to the Lead Maintenance hand and resort Manager, the Maintenance worker is a site level guest facing role. This position is responsible for assisting in both the upkeep and beautification of the Lonesome Pine resort.
What you would be doing :
· Responsible for the grounds maintenance and landscaping of the property
· Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment
· Providing support to residence as required, such as fire wood delivery and snow removal
· Water testing and record keeping daily
· Maintaining the pool and spa facilities
· Responsible in managing and keeping records of the upkeep of the septic systems
· Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings
· Ensuring ongoing communication with Resort Manager
· Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
· Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
· Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
· Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
· Other duties as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver’s Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required.
· Current water ticket or pool certificate preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Physically fit; ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights
· Excellent oral & written communication skills
· Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills
